Our Story: Two Communities, One Family
Our story began in 2018 with the opening of Mears Pharmacy in Farmington. Founded by Jonny and Hailey Mears, our vision was to bring personal connection back to pharmacy care. We didn’t want to be just another counter to wait at. We wanted to be a place where you are known by name, treated like family, and cared for with genuine kindness.

In 2025, that vision expanded to the Morgan Valley in a way we never expected. Morgan Drug has been a community pillar since 1909. For over 60 years, beginning with Merle Smith in 1964, it was lovingly stewarded by the Smith family.

Following the tragic loss of Justin Smith in June 2025, the future of this historic store was uncertain. Although we did not have the privilege of knowing Justin personally, we were connected to his wife, Michele, through family friends who knew the deep care we provide at Mears. It was through this personal connection that our families came together to preserve this legacy.

We are honored that Michele and her family trusted us to carry the torch that Merle and Justin held high. Whether you visit us in Farmington or Morgan, you will find a team dedicated to honoring that trust.
