Terms of Service
Website & text messaging terms.
These terms cover use of this website and our text message (SMS) notification program, described in detail below.
Last updated: July 2026
Website use
This website is provided by Mears Pharmacy, LLC, operator of Mears Pharmacy (Farmington, UT) and Morgan Drug (Morgan, UT), for general information about our locations, services, and to help you reach us. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and it does not replace a conversation with your pharmacist or prescriber. Please don't submit prescription numbers or clinical details through this website; call your pharmacy directly for anything specific to your prescription.
Text Message (SMS) Notification Program
This section describes the terms of our text messaging program, which sends operational status updates to patients who have opted in.
Program description
Patients who opt in may receive text messages for: (1) a prescription-ready notification when an order is ready for pickup, and (2) delivery status notifications (out for delivery, delivered, or unable to deliver) for home delivery orders. Messages are transactional status updates only. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.
Message content
Every message is a short, generic status update, such as "Your order is ready for pickup at Mears Pharmacy" or "Your delivery is on its way." Messages never include a medication name, strength, prescriber, diagnosis, or other clinical detail. Any delivery tracking or address information is provided through a secure link rather than in the message body.
Consent
We send text messages only to patients who have affirmatively opted in, and we keep a timestamped record of that consent. When you opt in, we tell you that standard text messaging is not an encrypted channel, and you confirm that you still want to receive texts. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of filling a prescription or receiving delivery — you can always choose phone or in-person notification instead.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your prescription and delivery activity, typically one to a few messages per order. Message and data rates may apply, and are set by your mobile carrier, not by us.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out; you'll receive one confirmation text and no further messages. You can also ask a staff member at either location to opt you out. Opting out never affects your ability to fill prescriptions or use delivery. You'll be notified by phone or in person instead.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call Farmington at (801) 447-9484 or Morgan at (801) 829-3262 during business hours.
Carrier liability
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging is not guaranteed to be a secure or private channel; see our Privacy Policy for more on how we minimize what's included in a message and how we protect your information.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
